So, I finished AnimationMentor and after 1 year and a half here’s the result:

I’m still working on the demo reel shots and making some fresh ones that I will post in a few days! woohoo!

So.. back to work. I didn’t post the progress reel of the third term so.. here goes!

Second pass

Well hello!

This is the second pass on my dialogue test, it’s really a shame not being able to do the eyebrow animation! *i want!*
But anyways, I’m trying to come up with some background scenario and some clothes to help selling the idea of the shot. At the moment he’s a bit … naked?

So, here’s the work:

I was reading Alexiss Memmott’s blog, an alumni from AM, and I saw this speech. It’s an amazing speech, take a look:

Dialogue test – first pass

Hello again!
So.. this is the first pass on this dialogue.
Very basic jaw movement, I was only focusing on the body and eyes. Knowing that I won’t do any lip sync this term, I probably won’t do anything more with the jaw.

I’ll paste here the dialogue text again:
“You and me, we come out to Hollywood, sniff the air, and now look at us, man. We made it!
And you know why? ‘Cause we knew how to hustle a deal.”

Woohoo!
I waited for so long to get my hands on this rig. It’s really cool I love it !

My current assignment is a dialogue test.
I choose a line from the movie “Be Cool” with John Travolta and James Woods.

The line is:
“You and me, we come out to Hollywood, sniff the air, and now look at us, man. We made it!
And you know why? ‘Cause we knew how to hustle a deal.”

This week I will be doing just the body, eye and jaw animation.
I did a quick test on the body and eyes and I’m pretty happy with the result.

Here it is:

I will be submitting a new version with the jaw animation and some more detailed poses.

Hey !!
Here’s the final version of this shot.

I will do some rendering on this later, and about the animation I will probably do some minor tweaking but for now .. the animation will probably stay as it is right now.

Progress Reel 3th term

Hello there!
I’m back from a little break and here’s my current progress reel. I included the most recent assignment on it as well.
It’s the pinata smacking hehe.
