Hi !!
I’m posting again!
So, here’s the “final” version before the last critique from my mentor. I didn’t do the full shot, which was over 300 frames. Since we only had 200 frames to do this shot I had to let out the rest of my animation. That little sequence included the prison guard walking away while the wall was falling down, he would give a little jump like he was surprised and then we could see both of prisoners hand on that wall trying to climb it while the guard is pointing the flashlight to the prisoner head. I might do that sequence later tho
So, currently I’m working on my next shot, it will be a PiƱata smash! =P
I will submit that blocking pass by sunday. Wait for it =D
Here’s the polishing version of the prison guard shot Play it in HQ !
Here’s my brand new shot! Prison break hehe
This isn’t the full shot, I still need to add a couple things at the end after the prison guard turns around. But.. it’s pretty much it!
Another week has passed, and this assignment is getting to an end! I’m starting to feel more comfortable about the turning towards camera. At first I wasn’t so sure about that, but after watching my e-critique from my mentor I think he was right. It’s looking better now!
Here goes the refining pass of the shot, play it in HQ!
So, that was the macho punk! hehe
Next week will be the last to tweak things and to give this shot a rendered look.
Stay tuned!
So, this week was the second pass on my animation, the blocking plus pass. I tweaked it a bit more, made him running left but facing the camera, trying to improve the overall staging of my shot. I also started splinning my whole scene, which is really frustrating because you feel like you just lost all of your animation. Everything moves so even and wobbles so much that we kinda lose the sense of the shot. But anyways, after spending some time and love on this, I managed to make everything in the overall to work a bit better.
Here’s my blocking plus pass:
There’s still two more weeks on this assignment but I’m pretty happy with what I have so far.
So.. now I’m just waiting for my next critique from Joe!
So, I just started out the brand new class 3 “Advanced Body Mechanics” at Animation Mentor. About the mentor.. I’m pretty happy with the new mentor Joe Mandia. Former animator at Walt Disney , Blue Sky and Sony Pictures Imageworks, currently at the game industry. If you want to watch his Demo Reel: Joe Mandia.
About my assignment, and the first of this term, will be Macho Stewie lifting a car. Macho Stewie is walking around in a suburb when suddenly he sees a car. *humm let’s lift some weight to amp up this biceps!* But, something goes wrong and the bumper falls so….. TIME TO RUN!!!
Here goes the first blocking pass of this first weeks assignment:
Hey there,
second term just finished and .. it’s being a blast really!
Here’s a progress reel of the last 3 months of Animation Mentor crazyness. Although the animation isn’t as I want, I’m proud of what I did:
Pretty much what I did this term was the first three clips. The dance being the latest, following by the parkour and the kick. That’s right, 3 months to animate 3 mini-super-awesomely-short animation! hehe! A lot of work in there, I’m still trying to find the best workflow but, I’m getting there!
